Caletto I

Dam sire Clearway

Chanel is a lovely example of the modern sport horse. Shes beautiful, modern and very correct. She certainly has showjumping in the genes! On the dam side Clearway's sire Capitol I has had a huge impact on showjumping breeding. He has produced numerous elite stallions and top competition horses including Cardento, Dobel's Cento, Cassini I & II, C-Indoctro, Cathago Z, Calato & Clearway. Capitol I's direct offspring have won in excess of  €5.3 million in prizemoney and he was a valuable foundation sire in the Holstein stud book. Clearways dam sire Lord (by the Thoroughbred Ladykiller) and grand dam sire Ramiro Z have also been leading sires of showjumpers worldwide & Ramiro was successful to 1.60m himself.

Chanels granddam Caletta decends from generations of proven international showjumpers. Her sire Caletto I was the most successful Nations Cup horse in 1985 and a member of the bronze team at the European Championships in Hickstead. His offspring have been remarkable in both sport and breeding. His most influential stallion sons are Cantus and Cambridge. Many licensed Caletto I sons have advanced in sport to the highest levels including Olympian and European Silver medalist Calvaro Z.

Caletta's dam sire Calypso II was also a grand prix showjumper and has been one of the most important sires in both Holstein and Hanover where he has produced international competitors as well as numerous influential breeding stallions such as Carbid, Coriolan and the mighty Contender.

Caletta's full sister Clear Round successfully participated in international showjumping (1.50m). Another full sister Frieda has gone on to produce a string of elite horses including a fabulous daughter in the Netherlands (May-Flower) which has produced three generations of mares already awarded Kuer Elite Sport Ster Pref. She also produced Rockella S who is competing internationally up to 1.60m level as well as two other successful 1.60m horses including Vrieda O. Another sister of Caletta, Akita Z (owned by Zangersheide) produced Champagne Z (Caretano Z) and Queen Z (Quick Star) who jumped 1.50m and was successful in Nations Cups for Rodrigo Pessoa.

Caletta's grandmother Kerlis is a half sister to Ribecka (by Calypso I) who produced the licensed stallions and international showjumpers Accord I, II & III. Ribecka is also full sister to the licensed stallion Chicago. Kerlis, half sister to Verona (by Calypso II) produced the licensed stallion and international sporthorse Athletico as well as the licensed stallions Charisma I & II. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaums current star Bella Donna is also a direct descendant of this top showjumping dam line.

Sister to dam: Cera Cassina and Kimberley Bird (NZ)
