Cascade is a lovely 6yo mare by Calato (frozen semen) from our imported Caletto I x Calypso II mare Caletta. She is in foal to the top producing stallion Quite Easy, however we would be happy to keep the foal due and put her in foal to something else if you prefer. The family are all exceptional jumpers. Cascade passes on her incredible power and wonderful temperament. Easy breeder to frozen semen. She is a 3/4 sister to Kimberley Birds exceptional jumping mare Cera Cassina (New Zealand) and half sister to Olivia Hamoods Cera Bettina who is the mother of her fancy Cha Cha Blue GHP. Being young and a proven producer of superb foals she represents a very good opportunity for someone to aquire a top broodmare, as good as any you will find across the globe.

Sire Calato competed at the highest level. He has sired countless international showjumpers including the World and European Champion Coester under Christian Ahlmann. Calato has now become a world renowned dam sire.

Calato is one of the most prolific sons of Capitol I. Calato topped his stallion performance test and went on to be a successful grand prix showjumper. Calatos mother Vanessa III jumped successfully at S Level (1.60m) herself.

Calato has produced countless successful 1.60m showjumpers. Coester (by Calato) introduced Christian Ahlmann to international success when he became the individual and team European champion, belonged to the German gold medal team in Athens, won a second team gold at the European Championships and was a member of the bronze medal team at the World Championships in Aachen. He was also in the German silver medal winning team at the European Championships in Mannheim.

Calatos true worth however is as a dam sire, which is why Cascade is so valuable as a broodmare today.

Calatos sire Capitol I has had a huge impact on showjumping breeding. He has produced numerous elite stallions and top competition horses including Cardento, Dobel's Cento, Cassini I & II, C-Indoctro, Cathago Z, Calato & Clearway. Capitol I's direct offspring have won in excess of  €5.3 million in prizemoney!

Cascades mother Caletta decends from generations of proven international showjumpers. Her sire Caletto I was the most successful Nations Cup horse in 1985 and a member of the bronze team at the European Championships in Hickstead. His offspring have been remarkable in both sport and breeding. His most influential stallion sons are Cantus and Cambridge (grandfather to the worlds leading sire today Chacco Blue). Many licensed Caletto I sons have advanced in sport to the highest levels including Olympian and European Silver medalist Calvaro Z (who was out of a Capitol I mare).

Grand dam sire Calypso II was also a grand prix showjumper and has been one of the most important sires in both Holstein and Hanover where he has produced international competitors as well as numerous influential breeding stallions such as Carbid, Coriolan and the mighty Contender.

Caletta's full sister Clear Round successfully participated in international showjumping (1.50m). Another full sister Frieda has gone on to produce a string of elite horses including a fabulous daughter in the Netherlands (May-Flower) which has produced three generations of mares already awarded Kuer Elite Sport Ster Pref. She also produced Rockella S who is competing internationally up to 1.60m level as well as two other successful 1.60m horses including Olympian Vrieda O. Another sister of Caletta, Akita Z (owned by Zangersheide) produced Champagne Z (Caretano Z) and Queen Z (Quick Star) who jumped 1.50m and was successful in Nations Cups for Rodrigo Pessoa.

Caletta's grandmother Kerlis is a half sister to Ribecka (by Calypso I) who produced the famous licensed stallions and international showjumpers Accord I, II & III. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaums former star Bella Donna is also a direct descendant of this top showjumping dam line, as is the 2015 Holsteiner stallion licencing champion Charleston.

Cera Cassina and Kimberley Bird (NZ). Cassina is a 3/4 sister to Cascade.
