Riverside Farm – Holsteiner Stud and home of Cera Performance Horses

Riverside Farm is located approximately 50 minutes north of Newcastle NSW Australia on 100 productive acres on the banks of the Karuah River.

Our Vision: To produce equine performance athletes of international calibre, willing partners with superior movements and natural jumping ability, excellent temperaments and soundness

With an increasing number of imported horses now dominating competition arenas here in Australia, we saw the need for an Australian based breeding program which produces purpose bred sport horses of international calibre carrying the best in performance based European bloodlines. We use only the best genetics in the world – through the use of frozen semen and imported stallions, and understand the importance of using quality mares. We have several imported elite jumping mares which are the backbone of our breeding program. Our sire and dam lines carry proven world class performance bloodlines including such greats as Alme, Aloube Z, Better Boy xx, Blue Peter xx, Calando IV, Calato, Caletto I & II, Calypso I & II, Capitol I, Caretino, Carinjo, Cassini I & II, Clearway, Contender, Cor de la Bryere, Corrado I, Farnese, Gotthard, Landgraf I, Lord, Marlon xx, Quidam de Revel, Ramiro, Sir Gaylord xx & Sir Tristram xx.

Our mares decend from the following Holsteiner Stamms (families) 242, 318d2, 890, 2004, 7126, 8798.

It doesn’t just stop at genetics. Special attention is placed on nutrition, handling and training. All horses are brought up on extruded feed and improved pastures. They are raised in spacious undulating paddocks with horses of similar ages to ensure they develop good bone, muscle and natural balance as well as the necessary social skills.
