Katie
Bay Holsteiner yearling filly, born 30/11/2010 Holsteiner stamm 2004 ![]()
Lovely tall long lined yearling filly with a very easy going nature by the sport producing Thoroughbred stallion King Tristram out of an imported Holsteiner mare by Coriander. Coriander was himself an international dressage competitor and his progeny have won at top level intenationally in both dressage and showjumping. His jumping form and technique were oustanding but so were his collection, balance and rhythm. Coriande is the dam sire of the great genetic transmitter Calido I.
TB blood has been used extensively in Holstein to refine the breed. Many of the great foundation sires of modern times - Lord, Landgraf I, Cor de la Bryere, are all "half-bloods" being direct decendants of Ladykiller and Rantzau. Many horses which are extremely successful at top level internationally have their dam sire as a TB - eg Shutterfly with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum - won over 3 millions euros, Sapphire with McLain Ward (Olympic team gold in 2004 & 2008); 3 of the 4 finalists at the 2006 WEG (World Equestrian Games) also had their dam sire as TB's (Beezie Madden's Authentic, Shutterfly & Pialotta with Edwina Alexander).
Great grandsire Calando IV jumped with superior ability and technique. He has several sons and daughters competing at 1.60m level including Crovers, Kardinals-LV & Kongo. The dam Emily is line bred to Ladykiller, one of the most famous performance TB sires of all time. Ladykiller is known for transmitting type, a correct and powerful foundation, and excellent jumping ability in terms of scope, bascule, leg technique and particularly courage. His two most famous sons are Lord & Landgraf I. Landgraf I is considered to be the most significant show jumping transmitter of the 20th Century.
This filly decends from the strong Holstein mare line stamm 2004. Great grand dam Zinne (also known as Le Ticia) is full sister to Livingstone (licensed Holsteiner stallion). Zinne also produced US Sennerin VDL (by Emillion) who jumps internationally for Sweden. Her dam Sennerin also produced La Belle Orion who jumped 1.60m. This filly has very big floating movement and would suit any discipline. She will also make a top broodmare in the years to come.
Dam: Emily (imp)
