Edith is a beautiful mare with show hack looks. She is impeccably bred with a pedigree featuring the likes of Calando IV, Cor de la Bryere, Ramiro, Landgraf I and Ladykiller xx. She is by Danger's Hour, a Thoroughbred stallion who raced until he was 8 years old winning over $800,000 in prizemoney before retiring sound. TB blood has been used extensively in Holstein to refine the breed. Many of the great foundation sires of modern times - Lord, Landgraf I, Cor de la Bryere, are all "half-bloods" being direct decendants of Ladykiller and Rantzau. So many horses which are extremely successful at top level internationally have their dam sire as a TB - eg Shutterfly with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum - won over 3 millions euros, Sapphire with McLain Ward (Olympic team gold in 2004 & 2008); 3 of the 4 finalists at the 2006 WEG (World Equestrian Games) also had their dam sire as TB's (Beezie Madden's Authentic, Shutterfly & Pialotta with Edwina Alexander).

Grandsire Calando IV jumped with superior ability and technique. He has several sons and daughters competing at 1.60m level including Crovers, Kardinals-LV & Kongo. Edith is line bred to Ladykiller, one of the most famous performance TB sires of all time. Ladykiller is known for transmitting type, a correct and powerful foundation, and excellent jumping ability in terms of scope, bascule, leg technique and particularly courage. His two most famous sons are Lord & Landgraf I. Landgraf I is considered to be the most significant show jumping transmitter of the 20th Century.

Edith decends from a strong Holstein mare line. Grand dam Zinne (also known as Le Ticia) is full sister to Livingstone (licensed Holsteiner stallion). Zinne also produced US Sennerin VDL (by Emillion) who jumps internationally for Sweden. Her dam Sennerin also produced La Belle Orion who jumped 1.60m.

Edith has the sweetest nature and is a pleasure to be around. She is a proven breeder and is in foal to Cassiago (imp) due 3/10/2012. Her absolutely stunning filly by Cassiago can be viewed.
